You have to …
You have to remember though that placing a sub near a boundry will also colour the sound more by adding more low frequency sound, so if you want a nice even sound to your system then it’d be helpful if you sat down in the middle of the listening position and got a friend to move the sub around the room so you could hear wheraabouts the sub sounds best, to get a nice low frequency response but at the same time, to make sure the bass doens’t overpower the mid and high frequency.

I have an older …
I have an older bose acoustimass bass system which i believe is pure shit. I hits like a sissy girl, to be completely honest. It came with a 5.1 set back in the day and i have recently updated my entire theater system to 7.1 with 3 polk speakers in the front and 4 bose speakers(1 left, 1 back left, 1 right and 1 back right). The room is quite large and a bass can be put in a corner I just need some bass suggestions that will give me great pounding movie bass at a reasonable price(under 1k). Tks!

no subs shouldnt be …
no subs shouldnt be placed in corners it might make them louder but it distorts them because the waves bounce off the walls causing muddy untimed bass to maximize the experience buy a sub with a amp slightly more than wanted just incase you want it louder also subs perform best in the front center of the wall
