I will learn what? ...
I will learn what? You might want to do a more research on current day technology.

I don't manually turn on anything in my living room, do you?

Are you suggesting the engineers who decide to use trigger in/out on higher end equipment don't know what they are doing? If so, maybe they should hire you?

what nothing wrong ...
what nothing wrong with horn speakers for home theater use... I run with JBL Synthesis which are horn speakers and I assure you no such thing as dirty watts horns produce immense dynamic sound of which you wouldn't get by a normal speaker...sure if you want to listen to so called audiophile music with very if any dynamic sound than yes go for the musical speakers

This is my first ...
This is my first setup so I don't have experience with other preamps, but I do know the Yahama sounded great until I got the Emotiva and realized it reaches its limit at high volumes very quickly in comparison. With the amp I no longer worry the about volume.

I honestly believe the speakers sound even better at high volumes, thanks to the amp.
