I am looking for a home theater subwoofer that goes lower than 20hz ?

I want a subwoofer that will play the very low frequency in my home theater ? I have about 2000 to spend?
Brand new subwoofer systems with a suggested retail price less than roughly US$5000 that also have total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 10 percent, minimal power compression and reasonably flat (±3 dB), usable passband output* of at least 100 dB below 20 Hz are very rare.
Though there may be a few other subwoofer systems that may come close, the only turnkey subwoofer systems of which I am currently aware that essentially meet all of the aforementioned performance criteria at a retail price of no more than US$2000 are SVSound’s PB13-Ultra Powered Subwoofer, possibly the Seaton SubMersive and the now discontinued Epik Conquest. Arguably the only subwoofer system nearest the suggested retail price of US$2000 that would surpass the performance of these subwoofers in nearly every category would be a do-it-yourself subwoofer system constructed with one of the highly regarded and very expensive Audiopulse LMS-Ultra drivers (formerly of TC Sounds fame,) powered by a high performance, very high power audio power amplifier.

in general subs are used for 120Hz or below.
my personal preference is Paradigm (hard to get in the UK though).
they do some awesome kit (see link below) but it may be worth a call to them to see if they can help.
have to ask… 20Hz? thats gonna be some throbbing rumble?

2,000 what? Dollars? There are a lot of good subs at that price range. If I had that kind of money to spend I’d get the ULS-15 from Hsu Research. It goes down to 15Hz. There’s also the PB13-Ultra from SVSound that dips below 20Hz.

I’ve done tons of research to find the right subwoofer for me. I am also looking for something that will hit sub 20hz frequencies and found 3 that I would get.
1. Sunfire True EQ Signature – 2700 Watts RMS 12" woofer with a 12" radiator gives more surface area than 1 big woofer and the response time of a smaller woofer. The audio store that I deal with was showing several technicians from Sikorsky Helicopter this sub (because Sikorsky was looking for a subwoofer than can accurately represent the sound a Black Hawk helicopter makes upon landing for their flight simulator.) and they were able to hold a 16hz note at 135 decibles! It cracked a drywall seam near the sub from the floor all the way up to the ceiling! This sub retails for $2200 but can be found new on ebay for $1500.
2. JL Audio – Gotham or Fathom Series Subwoofers- Fathom F112 or F113. Start at about $2800 but you might be able to find one on ebay for under $2000. Excellent woofer but the Sunfire is a lot more bang for the buck.
3. Definitive Technologies Supercube I, Supercube Reference, or Supercube Trinity – Great woofers, but not so sure about their claims of how low they can go since my Definitive Supertowers are claimed down to 16 or 18hz but have a hard time hitting anything lower than 25hz with any volume.
